It is possible to reduce data usage by utilizing the sound quality settings and the offline playback (music download) feature.
Adjusting sound quality
With AWA, it is possible to set the sound quality of your streaming playback.
It is possible to select from Low (64 kbps), Normal (96 kbps), High (128 kbps), and Excellent (320 kbps). It is possible to limit data usage by selecting "Low" or "Normal" for regular use.
By turning on "Switch to 320kbps on Wi-Fi", it is also possible to set it so that when you are connected to your regular cellular data, it will limit data usage with the “Low" or “Normal" setting, and when you are connected to Wi-Fi, it will automatically stream with the high-quality “Excellent" setting.
Offline playback (music download)
In addition to setting the sound quality, by downloading in advance the songs, albums, and playlists that you frequently listen to, it is possible to listen to them without using any data (offline playback).
* In order to use the offline playback feature, you will need to register with the Standard plan.
